Hope. A Spiritual Quest

After an intense first mystical experience, Hope is diagnosed as bipolar. She is treated for mental illness until she meets an unconventional doctor who reveals to her that she has the ability to communicate with the afterlife. Her so-called manic episodes are actually trances. Inspired by the author's mystical experiences, Hope's story combines spirituality and paranormal adventures and asks fundamental questions: Is reality confined to what we can see, touch and prove, or does the truth extend far beyond? Is traditional medicine suitable for those we call "mentally ill"? Are they "abnormal" in the sense defective, unfit, sometimes frightening, even dangerous, or are they simply endowed with an extraordinary sensitivity to the world which, for some, even manifests itself through extrasensory gifts?
